Many of you may have already heard that I will be going to Guatemala from June 16th to 26th to build houses for Habitat for Humanity with a good friend of mine, Dr. Jason Dewling.  Below is a link that will lead you to information on where you can donate if you chose, as our goal is to build one house, but to raise money to ensure a second house is built.

After my last blog about how lucky we are here I realized that I should experience and share with you just how fortunate we are in comparison to some real world examples.  I will we sending updates on how things are going (watch for them here) as well as posting pictures to you can witness what the experience is like.  If you have trouble with the links below, please feel free to call me.

Habitat for Humanity Trip to Guatemala: June 16-26, 2007

Funds needed: $3500CDN to build a house.

Doug and Jason are NOT asking for any personal funds so 100% of your funds will go towards the building of a new house for a family in Guatemala.

Global Village Payment Procedures

In order to make payments for your Global Village trip, you have the following options:

Send a cheque made out to Habitat for Humanity Canada to the following address:

            Please make sure your trip code (CA07523) is written on the cheque and a note to indicate your donation to Doug and Jason.

2)      Pay by credit card by calling 1-800-667-5137 ext 252 and speak with the Global Village Registrar. Please mention that you are donating to the efforts of Doug and Jason.

3)      Pay online by using the following steps:

Go to www.habitat.ca

Click on the Donate Now box/ or Make a Donation tab

Enter the amount of your payment

Choose the following fund from the Fund Designation drop down list:

Follow the steps for checking out and receiving a receipt

Under Privacy Preferences, please do not choose to be anonymous, otherwise we will not know that you have made your payment

Please ensure that you use the trip code and our names when making a donation.
